About our Food Bank

In 2014 the Crossroads Project realised there was an urgent need for a Food Bank to be established within the village of Meltham and this was initially run from the basement of the Methodist Church. The demand on this service quickly grew and eventually moved to the new premises in the old Town Hall In 2019 as part of the Crossroads Project.

Due to the demand for the services of the Food Bank the volunteers stepped up and began working to meet the requirements. All volunteers have been trained to meet the highest hygiene standards. Food is given and delivered on the needs of the client and information required is kept to a minimum. Our aim is that ‘no-one will go hungry.’

Some of our kind donators would rather give money to help run the Crossroads Project and Food Bank and this is much appreciated. Donations can be made to the Crossroads Project.

All are welcome, call in and have a cup of tea/ coffee and meet our friendly volunteers and see our wonderful new Food Bank.

We provide food based on the needs of our clients. Our aim is that no-one will go hungry.
All are welcome to call in for a hot drink and to meet our volunteers at the Food Bank.
Donations to help with the Food Bank can be made to the Crossroads Project.
