Debt and Benefits Advice Service

Here at the Crossroads Centre we have a free Debt and Benefits Advice service with an advisor who is available to speak to you face to face or via telephone if you prefer.

He is available to give free impartial help and guidance, enabling you to gain better control of your debts, benefits and finances. Our Advisor can help with a wide range of problems and/or signpost you directly to our many partners, including the Citizens Advice Bureau.

All cases are dealt with sensitively and confidentially.

Please call the centre to make an appointment on 01484 854400 or feel free to drop into the centre on a Wednesday when our adviser will be in from 10am to 3pm.


Our advisor can assist you with:


  • Budgeting plans / Income and Expenditure form

  • Money management

  • Maximise income and minimise outgoings

  • Debt prioritising

  • Help to give peace of mind with debt problems

  • Act as an Intermediary

  • Call creditors/companies on your behalf

Legal Advice Service

As a senior representative of Ridley and Hall solicitors, Nigel Priestley MBE is available to give legal advice and support at the Crossroads Centre every Thursday between 10 and 12:30 pm.

Nigel is a Care and Adoption, Breakdown Specialist Solicitor.

He will offer advice on any Legal problems that you may have, and guide you to the right representative to help resolve your problems.
