Making The Right Connections Surgery: 12th September 2022

You are invited to join us at The Crossroads Centre to register your charity on the new
Live Well Kirklees Community Directory.

MONDAY 12th September 2022 from 12:30-15:00

Purpose: to help ensure your group is connected to the organisations that can help you like the Anchor Network, and it’s also about helping the community find you too if you have activities, services or need volunteers or members.

Format: It is a drop in – you come at any time but give yourself 45 mins to complete the checks and updates. It’s a one-to-one practical session where members of the local team will sit down with members of your group and make sure that you are on the right mailing lists we are using too support you. There is a lot of support out there to help you manage volunteers / accessing training / secure funding as well as invites to network mtg and briefings like the People Helping People events we are running in the area. Secondly it’s about making sure you are visible and easy to find on the various community directories including the brand new one Live Well Kirklees.

What you need to bring: We basically you just need the contact details for the group and organisation you are working with. Name of group, Contact details for the main contact. (Name, Address, Phone, email etc) also any website addresses and social media accounts (Facebook pages and groups, twitter and Instagram accounts etc) If you only have house addresses and landline phones that is fine. We just need to know how you want to be contacted. If you have a programme of events or regular meetings times and venues for these will be helpful to have on hand at the session too. If you have a smartphone or a laptop, please bring that too.
